Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Tender & Contracts Manager to lead end-to-end tendering, bid management, and contract execution for government and enterprise projects, especially in the defence and marine domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Tender & Bid Management
- Identify and track relevant tenders (GeM, CPPP, IREPS, Defence portals, global bids)
- Analyze RFP/RFQ documents, technical specs, and eligibility criteria
- Coordinate with internal teams (sales, engineering, finance) for bid preparation
- Manage the complete bid submission lifecycle, including documentation and compliance
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and handle clarifications
- Commercial & Contract Management
- Prepare techno-commercial proposals, costing, and pricing strategies
- Review and negotiate contract terms (LD, payment terms, warranties, liabilities)
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and risk mitigation
- Track contract execution, milestones, and deliverables
- Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with government agencies, defence organizations, PSUs, and partners
- Coordinate internally for timely inputs and approvals
- Support sales team in deal closure and post-award execution
- Process & Compliance
- Maintain documentation, bid repository, and audit-ready records
- Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements
- Improve tendering processes and win-rate strategies
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineering preferred) + MBA (optional but valued)
- 5–10 years of experience in tendering, contracts, or bid management
- Strong experience with GeM, government tenders, and defence procurement
- Good understanding of commercial terms, legal clauses, and compliance
- Strong coordination, negotiation, and documentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple bids under tight deadlines
Good to Have
- Experience in defence / marine / robotics / EPC sectors
- Exposure to international tenders and export documentation
- Understanding of Make in India / procurement policies
